Hedgehog

Hedgehogs (sub family Erinaceinae), are a species of spiny mammals found throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and New Zealand. Their trademark spines are hollow hairs made of stiff keratin and are not poisonous nor detach easily like the quills of porcupines. Their diminutive size and cuteness have made them exotic pets. I based my version on a juvenile hybrid which are the most common breed in the pet trade. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.

Peony Trinket Box

Peonies are among the most popular garden plants, and their colorful and fragrant flowers have been depicted in Eastern art for centuries. This peony bulb ornamented trinket box was also my first attempt at a ceramic flower. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.

Elephant Mug

This one was a request for a mug incorporating an elephant, so I took the most obvious design choice using the versatile trunk for the handle. This is my second elephant (first attempt) and seventh mug. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.

Battle Angel Alita

- Category: Sculptures

Battle Angel Alita (Japanese: 銃夢 "Ganmu"), is my third anime based work, including Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, and Princess Mononoke. I based her face on the manga/anime, and her cyborg body loosely from the film adaptation (except for the wings of course). My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.
