Korean Maiden with Gayageum

This piece was at the request of one of my epic giveaway contest winners, a 12 year old girl from Kazakhstan. She asked for a jewelry dish with a maiden in a Korean traditional dress (hanbok). I took it a step further and added a gayageum, a traditional Korean stringed instrument. The colors of her dress are based on the national flag of Kazakhstan, where this work was shipped to. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.

Tinker Bell

This is my second Tinker Bell, based on the pose and concept of my first version. This one is also about half the size of the first one. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.

Castiel Kitten

Castiel is a rescue kitten, so the owner isn't really sure what exact breed she is. Her blue eyes and mocha latte with dark chocolate accents indicate perhaps some Siamese, but her fluffy fur and white socks say otherwise. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.

Unicorn

The unicorn is a legendary creature that has been described since antiquity as a beast with a single large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead. In European folklore, the unicorn is often depicted as a white horse-like or goat-like animal with a long horn, cloven hooves, and sometimes a goat's beard. In the Middle Ages and Renaissance, it was commonly described as an extremely wild woodland creature, a symbol of purity and grace, which could be captured only by a virgin. A common belief is that the legend of unicorns were based on travelers' tales of rhinoceros and narwhal tusks. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.
