Astro Boy (Atomu)

Testuwan Atomu a.k.a. Astro Boy (Mighty Atom) - completed high fire stoneware. Astro Boy is a robot with advanced AI created by a genius (Doctor Tenma) to replace his son (Tobio) who died in a traffic accident. Unable to fully accept Astro as a real son, Tenma abandons him, and Astro encounters various people and adventures as he masters his robotic powers and abilities, but most of all his kindness and love for humanity to help others. Astro Boy was first introduced in a manga series in 1952 and has been revived in several television series, comics, and films. My favorite was the 1980 series which I based my model on.
