Blue-ringed Octopus Dish (Version 1.0)
- Details
- Category: Sculptures

The blue-ringed octopus (Hapalochlaena lunulate) is a strikingly beautiful but also highly dangerous species of cephalopod found in the Pacific and Indian oceans. Despite its small size, the blue-ringed octopus carries enough venom to kill twenty-six adult humans within minutes, and as of 2019, there is no antivenom available for it's bite. This is my second functional octopus, the first being the Ceramic Cephalopod iPad stand. And yes, Version 1.0 implies I will be taking another attempt at this. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.

"Unmasked" (Bruce Wayne, the Batman) - A Tribute to Bill Finger
- Details
- Category: Sculptures

This piece is a tribute to Bill Finger, co-creator of the Batman mythos. As an artist, I am very particular about crediting sources and inspirations. Bob Kane died with great fame, fortune, and the world's perception him being the sole creator of Batman, while Finger who was the contributing force in Batman's creation from the iconic cowl, cape, the Bruce Wayne persona, to his detective instincts, etc., died alone in his apartment in relative obscurity. I highly recommend "Batman & Bill", a documentary of the crusade by Marc Tyler Nobleman to get Finger his due credit. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.

Poseidon (Neptune)
- Details
- Category: Sculptures

Poseidon (Roman: Neptune) was the Greek god of the sea. Brother of Zeus and Hades, Poseidon has been very well popularized in many cultures as a symbol of the ocean's power, fury, and mystery. Personally I've been meaning to sculpt him for some time to close the loop with a few of my other pieces: Athena, Medusa, and Pegasus. According to one legend, he raped the beautiful maiden Medusa at the temple of Athena. Athena in her wrath transformed Medusa into a gorgon (since she couldn't take it out on her uncle), later to be slain by Perseus and in the process giving birth to Pegasus. And as I write this I just realized I need to sculpt Perseus to fully close the loop! My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.

Sitting Wolf

The wolf (Canis lupus), is the most widely distributed land carnivore. Modern wolves evolved alongside humans, and unsurprisingly are abundant in folklore and mythology of virtually every culture. This is my third wolf (Princess Mononoke, Howling Wolf), and actually fourth if you also count my Werewolf. My thanks again to the Ceramic Art Studio and Shop.
